Guinness World Record as the largest hotel in the world

Malaysia has another achievement to add to its name – the First World Hotel in Genting is now acknowledgement by the Guinness World Record as the largest hotel in the world.

The hotel consists of 6118 rooms, and is listed as the world’s largest under the “Feats of Engineering for Big Buildings’ section in the renowned book of the world’s best

The previous titleholder was MGM Grand Hotel and Casino at Las Vegas, Nevada, USA with 5005 rooms.

Among many other achievements, the First World Hotel was also awarded the certificate of being the world’s largest hotel by Ripley’s Believe It or Not in July 2006
